Dr. Casey Whittle arrived in Whitehouse ISD in July of 2024. He has 25 years of education experience and served four years as the Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources for Wylie ISD. Known as a problem solver and strategic thinker, Dr. Whittle’s role at Wylie encompassed supporting and developing campus leadership and investing in staff to assist them in reaching their professional goals. Additionally, he oversaw staffing, compensation, the district’s demographics, and future planning initiatives.

As the assistant superintendent, Dr. Whittle was pivotal in shaping the strategic plan for Wylie ISD's continuous growth. His leadership was evident in championing initiatives to enhance employee recruitment and retention, such as the groundbreaking agreement between Wylie ISD and Texas Tech University, which allowed staff to pursue postsecondary education at no cost, and the establishment of several leadership development programs.

Before assuming his current position, Dr. Whittle served as the principal of Canyon High School in Comal ISD for three years. Prior to that, he spent 11 years in Wylie ISD, where he held various teaching and administrative leadership roles, including two years as Executive Director of Secondary Curriculum. Dr. Whittle began his public education career in 2000 as a U.S. History teacher at Stephenville Junior High and High School in Stephenville ISD. He also taught high school English in Garland and Ennis ISDs and coached football in Stephenville, Garland, Ennis, and Wylie ISDs.

Dr. Whittle's academic journey is a testament to his commitment to continuous learning and professional development. He earned his doctorate in Organizational Leadership from Abilene Christian University, his Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Dallas Baptist University, and his Bachelor of Arts in History from Abilene Christian University. He also holds his superintendent’s certification, principal certification (EC-12), and other teaching certificates.

On the personal side, Dr. Whittle and his wife, Emily, a school counselor in WISD, met at Abilene Christian University while they were student-athletes. They were married in 2004. The Whittles are the proud parents of two children, Keaton and Adelyn. Both children attend Whitehouse ISD.

“I look forward to forging relationships with the community and staff of Whitehouse ISD. I’m excited to lean on our shared values as we come together to honor the school district's success and create a bright future for every student in WISD.” It is a great honor to serve this wonderful community.

If you have any questions or want to learn more about our excellent school district, please know that I am here to help. Please feel free to contact me, and I will make sure you get the information you need.”
